Reid Byers

Reid Byers retired early as a Master IT Architect at IBM to write The Private Library, a project de longue durĂ©e that extended through much of the history it describes, and was equally divided between Princeton, New Jersey, and the Blue Mountains of Maine. He is the president of the Baxter Society, the bibliophilic association “North of Boston,” chair of the New England group of the Grolier Club, and chair of the Living with Books group of the Fellowship of American Bibliophilic Societies (FABS). A member of the Maine Humanities Council, he is currently writing a book about Imaginary Books.
